The mount installs on a flat ceiling and holds the screen in a fixed position when lowered; there is no separate tilt adjustment. Support tension is adjustable to match the weight of the TV, up to the 100 lb rating, and the mounting height adjusts in 50 mm increments. When retracted, the assembly extends about 9 inches down from the ceiling. The metal frame accepts VESA mounting patterns from 200 x 100 mm to 600 x 400 mm; fit depends on the mounting hole pattern and weight rather than the screen size alone.
To operate the mount, the user pulls an adjustable-length strap to fold the TV down for viewing, then pushes it back up to stow it against the ceiling. The mount attaches to the building structure rather than to ceiling tile grid, and professional installation is recommended for ceiling-hung displays. Typical applications include rooms where wall mounting is blocked by doors or windows, covered patios where the screen folds up out of the weather, and multi-use spaces such as conference rooms that need the display cleared when not in use.
