Details
The adapter serves as the attachment point of the Expert Mounts ceiling-mount system where the building structure is strut channel. One plate inserts into the strut; a mating plate provides the threaded socket that accepts 1.5" NPT pipe. The pipe acts as the mast and carries a mount head for the display or projector, and a set screw can be used to keep the threaded connection from working loose.
This is the correct part when the mounting point is Unistrut rather than a flat or sloped ceiling; flat and angled ceiling plates cover finished ceilings, and the beam clamp kit covers structural steel. The strut and its attachment to the building must be able to support 4 times the total load of the pipe, hardware, and mounted equipment. Professional installation is recommended for ceiling-mounted products.
