Details
This plate is the attachment point of the Expert Mounts ceiling-mount system on an angled ceiling. It accepts 1.5" NPT threaded pipe, which becomes the mast of the assembly; the mast then carries a mount head that holds the display or projector. Because the plate is built for angled surfaces, the mast can hang vertically even though the mounting surface is pitched, keeping the screen level below.
Use this plate instead of a flat ceiling plate whenever the ceiling slopes; a flat plate on a pitched ceiling would leave the mast leaning at the ceiling angle. For strut channel, steel beams, or wall mounting, the matching adapters in the system are the correct choice. The plate must fasten to structure able to support 4 times the total load of the pipe, hardware, and mounted equipment. Professional installation is recommended for ceiling-mounted products.
